An Investigative Study of the Psychological Well-Being of Chinese University Students Under State Bursary Based in Guangxi China

Abstract

The aim is to find out the current psychological problems of university students under state bursaries (USSB), analyze the causes of the psychological problems of USSB, and solve the psychological problems of USSB. This research used a mixed-methods design, and the questionnaire sample was 360 USSB. The sample of the semi-structured interview was 10, including 2 school staff, 2 counselors, and 6 USSBs. The research instrument mainly includes an online questionnaire and a face-to-face interview. Statistics uses frequency, percentage, ANOVA, and Chi-square. The findings indicate that the six-factor model does not adequately address the current psychological problems of USSB. Through reason analysis, we identify both subjective and objective reasons. Therefore, the following measures are formulated: From an objective point of view, the social environment, school environment, and family environment strengthen the psychological well-being (PWB) education of university students—measures to enhance PWB education for university students from a subjective perspective. First, promote psychological self-acceptance. Second, it enhances personal psychological growth. Third, cultivate psychological autonomy. Fourth, strengthen psychological control. Fifth, enhance the psychological-interpersonal relationship. Sixth, we establish the purpose of life and its pursuit.
