Abstract: | The study reports on the quality of three online translation applications: Google Translate, I Love Translation and Line Dictionary. Three kinds of texts were entered into the applications: a general article, an academic article, and short sentences. Two specialists in translation evaluated the quality of the translation by using the applications. It was found that Google Translate was the most effective, and the least effective application was I love Translation. It was concluded from the findings that no applications could be compared with human translation. |
