Abstract: Amphibians are usually adversely affected by anthropogenic influences. The aim of the present study is to determine the geographic distribution and biology of Neurergus kaiseri as native and endemic species in Iran. This research was conducted in Lorestan province in the west of Iran through direct field observations and documentary analysis. The major habitat of this species is situated in cold waterfall pools. The external body surfaces of this elegant species, is marked with red pigment and therefore is as ornamental species which attracts many people. N. kaiseri is a rare species and is not used as food in Iran, but it has few natural predators. Because of the benefits of educational programs, it is recommended that educational programs in environmental science and biodiversity be arranged for local people to provide a better understanding of environmental conservation and also to enable them to learn about the Importance and other characteristics of N. kaiseri.
