| Abstract: | The purpose of this study is to design and present the casual wear design inspired by face art of beijing opera, the target group is men and women aged 20-30 years casual wear lover, with distinctive looks, confident, like bright colors. This collection is made of amena, polyester blended with wool and coated with polyurethane, acetate blended with nylon and polyester coated with polyurethane, chiffon, mesh in playful color palettes which consist of black, off white, candy, butter, and lapis decorated by colorblock patch-working, piping, digital embroidery, and painting. operations by sketching, selecting, determining of colors and details. This collection can be summarized in 7 Outfits are as follows: Outfits 1 designed from the art of the upper face of the beijing opera. There are 2 pieces which consist of a flat collar tunic with long bell sleeves and as tied at waist decorated by digital embroidering combined with painting at the collar and a pair of straight pants ankle length. Outfits 2 designed from the art of the lower face of the beijing opera. There are 3 pieces which consist of long sleeves shirt and wear over with flat collar asymmetrical jacket decorated by colorblock patch-working and piping. Completed Look with 5-part zouave pants with side slits and bound hem. Outfits 3 designed from the art of the side face of beijing opera, which is cheongsam dress, left off-shoulder and short-bell left sleeve decorated by painting at collar and on the left side of the dress, knee-length curved right side-split hem. ฉ Outfits 4 designed from the art of the top view to eye part of beijing opera. There are 3 pieces started inside with a square-neck warp shirt with set–in sleeves, then wear over with jacket decorated by colorblock patch-working and piping. Finished this look with a pair of short pants decorated with painting at the waist and left leg-end. Outfits 5 designed from the art of the bottom view of beijing opera. There are 2 pieces which consist of a fully fashioned princess line shirt with a large shirt collar and bishop sleeve, decorated with digital embroidering, painting, colorblock patch- working, and piping. Another piece is a midi pencil skirt. Outfits 6 designed from the art of the left and right part of beijing opera. There are 3 pieces which consist of a straight band collar T-shirt with set-in sleeves wear over with a large flat collar asymmetrical jacket, decorated with colorblock patch-working and piping. Completed look with Wide-leg pants. Outfits 7 designed from beijing opera's full face art. There are 2 pieces which consist of a round-neck T-Shirt with poor boy sleeve length wear over with a straight long-sleeved asymmetrical jacket with flat collar decorated with colorblock patch- working, piping, digital embroidering and finished this look with boot-cut pants. This collection inspired by face art of beijing opera. It was organized a fashion show under the concept of “Disobedience by TAFTION 5” on Tuesday 20th of March, 2018 at General Post Office Grand Postal Building. It won “The Best of Project” award and has also been presented on Youtube Poppory Fashion Blog. |
